Mental illness can do that to you. Make you wish for a day where you don't have to do anything, but when you get that chance, all you want to do is something? You're just not sure what.
Even though trying something new or out of your ordinary seems impossible and feels like waaaay too much work, that is actually the perfect moment to try something new. True, you can think of something you wish you had more time for too. But why not try something different? Even if it's a slight variant from something you currently already enjoy doing (when you have the time AND energy of course).
I've had a few friends ask me recently what are some things I enjoy doing in my spare time. What do I do to take my mind off of my depression? What do I do to make myself happy (or at least attempt to)? So, I compiled a list. Some are obvious, some are adventurous, some are dorky. Try them all! They are sure to give you some peace of mind and/or put a smile on your face.
