Today is all about how you plan on showing thankfulness. And the list is truly endless when you think about it. There are millions of ways to show you are thankful. All it really takes is a heartfelt thank you!
But this is also the time of the year almost everyone strives o go above and beyond a simple thank you. You can bake a pie, buy a gift, make a gift, rake someone's yard, make them dinner, and more.
This year, I'm taking it upon myself to really start pay attention to how much and how many people help out in my family's life. And I want to start finding out what they really love, so I can do or make those things.
Take our speech therapist for Chase. She is an amazing person and we are so lucky to have gotten paired up with her. Since she's started working with Chase, he has taken leaps and bounds in his speech. It's amazing to watch. I also to have stumbled upon the fact that she is in love with banana bread. Guess who is getting two loaves this month?
My next door neighbor has watched my kids on a few occasions so I could make doctors appointments when my in-laws couldn't. She loves wine. Make a cute wrap for the bottle, and ta-da!
I also plan on making door hangers with homemade baked goods inside to hang on the neighbors doors. The last thing I'm planning on doing is making mini baked good packages for our mailmen and trash men. They work really hard, and they work in the icky cold. They need a cookie too!!
I'm excited to be focusing more of my time on thanking others this season. I want to do a lot of this with my kids as well. I want them to learn young to always be thankful and show that appreciation in more ways than just a card or a thank-you. We should always be going above and beyond. That's something I know I need to work on too.
Thanks for joining me for Day Five of the Thanksgiving Bash, hosted by Goofball Mommy! I'll see you tomorrow for another great day!
