For those of you who don't know what that is, let me explain. You heard of the spare tire, right? Well picture that, but that tire has been deflated. Just a saggy, sad tire. Now put that on a woman who has given birth.
If you are a mom, you know how hard it is to get rid of that damn thing. Talk about unnecessary baggage. It's a battle wound though. It's proof that you're body did something amazing and you lived through it. That deflated spare tire and those just oh-so-gorgeous stretch marks. If you are one of the lucky ones to not experience either, keep your mouth shut. Cause I will cut you. That's not fair, so you just shush for a minute, m'kay?
Well, me and this mommy tummy I have need to break up. It's not me, it's it. This relationship isn't working for me. So I've been trying something pretty weird sounding to help it go away.
Crazy thing is... IT'S WORKING!!
Now, before you get all excited and start jumping up and down in your living room, let me give you this warning. It's in NO WAY an overnight fix. You will not see a huge change over night. It takes time. A lot of time. But I've been doing this for two weeks, and I'm starting to notice a decrease in the tire.
Don't believe me? LOOK AT THAT!! (points down)
So, here's what you'll need:
Coffee grounds (cheap stuff works just fine)
Vitamin E oil
2 Ace bandages or spanks that reach up to just under your breasts
Note: This will get messy. Do this in the bathroom or shower for minimal clean up
Let's Do It!
In a bowl, pour about 3/4 of a cup of coffee grounds. Then add about 1 and a half tablespoons of the vitamin E oil. Mix it together. Now, scoop some in your hand and start slathering that stuff all over your stomach and stretch marks. Make sure you use all the coffee ground mix (because you can't reuse it). Now, take the plastic wrap and wrap yourself up. Make sure it's tight enough to feel some pressure, but not so tight that you can't breath or sit down. I usually go around about 8 times. If you've got tall spanks, pull them on. This will help keep everything in place. But if you don't, you can use a couple ace bandages to help keep the top and bottom from moving too much.
Now, go about your day. When I do this, I usually put it on when I've gotten home for the day. After getting all wrapped up, I clean up after the kids, do laundry, do dishes, do something moderately active for at least an hour. I leave mine on for about 4 hours. You can sleep in it (if you are able). I can't sleep in mine.
When you are ready to take off the wrap, get back in the shower as coffee grinds are going to go everywhere! You can take a shower while in you're in there, or just use a dry washcloth to brush off the excess grounds. Either way, rub lotion into your tummy. I use cocoa butter. I smell like a mocha afterwards!
In the pictures above, I had done about three wraps. Stretch marks are fading, and if you look closely, you can see that pouch tucking in. Woo Hoo!
To really boost results, drink tons of water and do exercise on a regular basis.
